free hit counter SUFFER FOR GOOD WORKS
SUFFER FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS SAKE BUT NOT FOR EVIL. (by benaiah juma) (Edited 15th August 2017).
1Pe 3:14  But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled;
The word of God is encouraging us to suffer for good works but not for evil works. A lot of people in the world suffer because of doing things that are an abomination before God and other people. Some people suffer because of raping others, murdering other people, shedding innocent blood, speaking lies over a person or a situation, drinking alcohol, drug abuse and many other abominable deeds.

Due to this acts, some people have ended up in jail or murdered by people who wanted to revenge of the evil which was done against them. We are taught by Jesus Christ that we as his children should suffer for the sake of his kingdom. It is common for the devil to possess reprobates and use them against children of God.
The devil causes politicians to come up with laws that are against the teaching of the bible and our lord and saviour Jesus Christ. We are encouraged by Jesus Christ to suffer for the sake of the Kingdom of Heaven.

When Christians go against this laws by preaching the truth of the gospel we might end up being jailed, persecuted or murdered. We are taught by Jesus Christ to be ready for anything that the devil has to offer and rely on God for his protection and encouragement to give us the strength to overcome the devil and his demons.
John the Baptist was beheaded for reproving Herod for taking Herodias, Philips wife.
Mar 6:17  For Herod himself had sent forth and laid hold upon John, and bound him in prison for Herodias' sake, his brother Philip's wife: for he had married her.

Mar 6:18  For John had said unto Herod, It is not lawful for thee to have thy brother's wife.

Shadrack meshack and Abednego were about to be thrown into the furnace of fire because of refusing to bow down to strange gods but they were rescued by God, Jesus Christ suffered the horror of the cross because of righteousness sake, the apostles of Jesus Christ were persecuted by the Jews for preaching the truth of our lord and savior Jesus Christ, some of them were stoned and some of them were thrown into prisons.

When we follow Jesus Christ we have to follow him in truth and spirit and bear his cross and his reproaches as well. The world will always hate us because it hated him first, the world will always persecute us because it persecuted him first and the world will always reject us because it rejected him first, and the world will never know us because it knew him not. We are counted as a sheep for the slaughter, but in all this we are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus who loved us.

When you are a Christian get ready to suffer the consequences and burden of preaching the truth of the gospel of our lord and savior Jesus Christ. Get ready to suffer the consequences of rebuking and reproving the unfruitful works of darkness. When you suffer for righteousness sake do not give up or be discouraged because greater is your reward in heaven for so did their fathers persecute the prophets who were before you. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad when they speak evil against you falsely, rejoice when you fall into diverse temptations because when you are tried you will receive the crown of life in heaven which the lord Jesus Christ has promised to give to those who love him.

If you are walking in truth of Jesus Christ, the devil and his agents will come to ruin your life but stay strong in righteousness and refuse to waver in the faith that you have in the lord. Brethren in Christ Jesus live righteous lives and reprove sin and do what is required of us to do regardless of the consequences. Let us be persecuted for good works but not for evil works. Thanks.
